No i'm back with the Angels, and what can I say about my experiences in Hyderabad? It has to be experienced. The driving, the pollution, the beggars, the food, the women, the cinemas, and the train journeys. Just have to say Hyderabad was not what it was 8 years ago, and i still LOVE IT!!!!

But the biggest shock of all things i've seen in hyderabad was men holding hands, and this got me every single time I left the house, I just couldn't get used to that! Other than that I do wish I could have stayed another month to enjoy more of the sapota & the mango.

Good Restaurants near Paradise

I'm at a small hotel in Ranigunj near Minister's Road and M G Road. I've tried the biryani at Paradise - excellent; and the lunch buffet at Moksh - very good if a bit expensive.

Anyone been to Mehfill in Hotel Baseraa on SD Road? One review says the perform ghazals after 8pm.

Other suggestions in the area? Indian, please.

Food is good. I particularly like their Kababs. Biryani is nice too, but not what you call authentic Hyd. Biryani.

Service is decent too, and the place has a retro Indian kind of an ambience - its started showing its age a bit though.

Nothing outstanding about the Ghazal performance, but the guy touches most of the popular numbers and even takes some requests.

Pickles is another restaurant by the same management in the same building. The ambience is more contemporary, and they usually have buffet for lunch and mixed cuisine for dinner. I believe they are open 24 hrs.
