Pista House is well noted for Haleem. They even export haleem daily to Middle East Countries during the month of Ramadan

Veggie lovers also can have a choice at Pista House

And, nearby, Angeethi, a good place for North Indian food.
Had a good meal in Indijoes last night. tex-mex for the hubby and pasta for me.... saw some other customers having the sizzlers..... will try them next time...
By the way... Indijoes lunch buffet is also very good.

Angeethi is my favourite for north Indian in hyderabad.

Their garlic bread (said earlier) and minestrone soup are good, too. Did wonders for my cold once.

Or maybe it was the vodka

I still remember the days when my friends and I would eat at nice restaurants for Rs 100 a piece. When I visited hyd a couple of years ago, we spent Rs 1000.

I recommend you guys try Allamdillullah (sp?). Their roasted chicken is so bomb! I was too drunk to remember the name of the place. Its in Panjagutta.

Great food and Drink

If you want a really good meal in HYDE go to the Taj Deccan for sunday brunch, all you can eat buffet, kabobs, seafood including lobster, and all the drinks you can handle,and dont forget the desserts. It will cost you about 1100 but worth it.

Blue Fox is definitely passe, the last time i ate there, the chicken was stale.
I love the Marriott buffet at Okhra, nice view of the pool.
Nanking is still a fave, which along with Haiking are two of the better destinations for Indo-Chinese. Try the Chicken pakoda balls at Nanking.

The chat at Ohris sucks, go get some gokul chat.

BBQ Nation opposite city ctr mall is G-O-O-D!!!

Paradise biryani is ok, try the old city for better biryani, but the Chicken 65 with rumali roti at Paradise is worth the traffic. (weird combo maybe, but i luv it)

For a taste of authentic andhra food, try abhiruchi in sec'bad, it was darn good 10 years ago (somebody please update, whether its still worth it).

Indijoe's sizzlers r really good, sahib sindh is just ok. aromas of china is good, but haiking maybe better.

My best food experience was at the Afghani restaurant inside the ITC Sheraton. Man o man, the kebabs and daal makhani and the rotis were simply the best.

Below r my personal grades for a few places.
Angeethi: A Grade;
Our Place: A grade;
Southern Spice: B grade;
Ginger Court: B- grade (madhapur)
Chutneys: A
Ohris Tadka: A

Oh, and if u r in the mood for stg quick and tasty, Roll call makes really good katti rolls in the complex next to chtuneys near nagarjuna circle, rd no. 1 b hills. their chicken egg roll is yummmmy!!!!!!!

i've only had haleem twice in my whole life & both times was two weeks ago at "Irani Chai" in Jubliee Hills, and I personally would highly recommend it.

On the other hand, for a casual night of eating and drinking I went out to a lot of restaurants, and I found Ohri's and Zafraan Exotica (roof top) on road no. 12 Banjara Hills to be two of the better restaurants in town.

If anyone is into clubbing, out of all the clubs in Hyderabad, I would say Zouk (Banjara Hills) is the best of them all, although "f cafe & lounge"(by Hitec City/Kondapur) is also pretty decent even though it hasnt "officially" openned up yet.

Depends on what you take.
average price of a main dish(very large quantity for one person to finish) is 250 to 300.
the very nice garlic bread(starter)is about 50.
the deserts are from 100 to 250 approx.

we usually pay around 600 for a very good and filling(over-full actually) meal for 2 people.
