Ok Amyth thanks again so Biriyani+Khubani ka meetha at Paradise.
Kababs+Ice creams at Gufa. So 2 meals settled out of six. After a night out and gobbles I may need a wake up dose of Paya & Shirmal to provide the required nourishment for the day ahead. |

As roopesh mentioned above, definitely try Rayalaseema Ruchulu, translated - Tastes of Rayalaseema. You even get goat head currry there, plus country chicken curry and some desserts from the region too. Simple decor outside and inside.
The food is hot but tastes different from even other local cuisines. |

Ah, forgot about that middle eastern place. Thanks Amyth.
Didn't get a chance to try Southern Spice last visit. Jyotida, cant think of a place like Karim's around charminar other than Shadab, which I think you've tried. |

Hmmm - can it really be true that no one has mentioned Little Italy, near Apollo Hospital? It's way expensive (like Rs. 800 for one person, including dessert and beer), but the food is great. Go with a friend and be prepared for a nice, leisurely evening; the food is, I believe, perpared to order and you can wait a while. Oddly, for an Italian restaurant, it's veg. The pesto is very good; get it with fettucine.
They serve wine, too, but it's insanely expensive, and I've never tried it. -- Jerry |

Oh, and another - Hampi, in the MLA colony near Lotus Pond. The food is good, but not stellar. It's the setting that's nice - the place is gorgeous! The prices are reasonable; I typically get out of there for under Rs. 300, though you could easily spend more.
They serve a lunch buffet from noon to (I think) 4PM, and an evening buffet on weekends. The veg thali is a good deal (which is true in MOST restaurants...). The lemon coriander soup is fabulous. Unfortunately, the papad has consistently been some of the worst I've ever gotten - soggy, chewy, greasy or all of the above. -- Jerry |

Did you put together a review of all the different places you ate during the trip to Hyderabad? I am sure it would be useful for all. Cheers Nattusbs |

I like Haiking, partly nostalgic reasons, those guys used to be school mates and we used to live opposite, the kids swore by Mainland China during our last visit....then there's the 'Chines' bandi wallah down the street.
Schezuan - I wait for the answer too. |
