HYD to Vijayawada flight

I have a wedding to attend to on March 14th night. My flight from Chicago will arrive in HYD at 2am on 14th. There is a Air Deccan flight at 6am to VGA.

My question is how often are these flights canceled/delayed? I know VGA does not have ILS landing system so a little bit of bad weather can cancel it.

Has anyone flown on these flights before? And also how is the weather there in March? I think it summer time there? shouldn't have too much bad weather in march i hope.

No idea about this flight but weather can't be a big or regular factor.

This part of the country does not have delays because of fog etc in winter. Monsoons sometimes play havoc at Vizag, though, not Vijaywada.

Of course, you do know that Vijaywada is a 4.5/5 hour drive from Hyderabad...

I've taken this flight a few times - and it's been on time - which is more than I say for every flight into or out of Mumbai airport!

There's also the train - but it takes around 6 hours. I used the night train once - but it gets in at around 4:00 a.m.

Yea i considered the train, but flight would be much better 1hr vs 6+hrs on train. Flight ticket is only $65 and I don't have to leave the airport.

Last time I drove from Tenali to HYD it took 7hrs. Mainly due to traffic in HYD.

So this time I am going to try the flight.

You can rely on this flight. This year the morning flight has been cancelled only once or twice because of fog. Now a days the chances of cancelling this flight due to fog are very grim.
