Question Honeymoon in Vizag

Hello everyone,

I am planning my honeymoon to Vizag & its nearby places. I read so many articles & completely confused which place to include & which not. Finally I have decided upon - Vizag, Araku Valley, Tyda, Hyderabad (recommend any other place worth to visit).

But still couldn't finalise my itinerary. Can you all please suggest some good itinerary plan, good budget hotel, car rentals & even travel agent. The trip is for nearly 10 days - 01st Dec to 10th Dec 2009. Source Destination is: Howrah

Awaiting for all your's responce at the earliest.

Thanks in advance.

Regrads -- Ann

Congratulations!

There is some information on the general area (including araku and tyda) here

Resorts near Vizag

2/3 days in Hyderabad (Yatri Nivas recommended for staying, has been mentioned a few times here) will be enough, unless you a) like big cities and b) have particular plans- including particular sightseeing plans.

Err, my non expert feedback will be of not much use, I am afraid, because I would not recommend Tirupathi (at all) or Chennai (for such a short trip).

Just that I would stick around vizag longer, but then, I have no interest in places like Tirupathi.

Of course, a case can be made for Chennai once you add Tirupathi. but two days is too short.

Also will get very hectic. Ten days, honeymoon trip, Howrah to Chennai with Vizag and Tirupathi thrown in, all by train...

It's your honeymoon, right ? Then why are you going to places where there is less honey and no moon perhaps ????!!!!

These are the places that you must see or where you should stay to make it an experience of lifetime.

1 : Stay at the cottage at Rushikonda beach, book a car to go to Bhimili along the beach road and back.
2 : Must-see in Vizag - Kailashgiri, Dolphin's nose, Yerada beach
3 : Take the morning train to go to Jagdalpur, visit Tirathgarh falls - next day and then ...
4 : Stay one night at the resort next to the Chitrakoot falls, India's Niagra
5 : Come back to Araku, stay at the Mayuri lodge
6 : Book a car to Vizag via Bora caves, Anantagiri, Tyada

Now, it's my challenge to you - do the tour as per your itinerary in post #3, then do the one suggested here someday, and find out which one is better. But in the latter case, it won't be your honeymoon. Take your pick.

Is the drive to Bora Caves and Aruku valley now safe?
There used to be incidents like tribals stopping vehicles for toll. Does it happen even now?
Any other concern about this drive?
