help me in boarding point.

i have booked ticket in 2ac for konark express on 23-4-08.
my boarding point is vizianagaram(vzm).i want to board at vizag(vskp),the very next station.
can i board so without intimation?
i need help regarding this.

Sorry, I don't.

We have some members who are very knowledgeable about trains, but it is a case of having them log on, and seeing a particular question.

My suspicion is that, if the train is fully booked, then an RAC passenger may be given the berth. It just seems common sense: how long should a TTE wait until he decided the berth has not been taken?

The rule says:
If the person does not occupy the berth in the designated station, the TC has the right to give the bearth to an RAC person as soon as he identifies that the person has not boarded.

But if you are going to board at a different station, you can get the same amended in your ticket from the railway reservation counters. I believe they charge a nominal price.

Practically saying -no problem.But as per the book you have to call the station manager in Viz to intimate.
