Israeli Kharana at Havelock

Hello fellow travellers

Heard beach 7 and 9 on havelock , has been infected by Israeli people in the recent yrs. They just camp on the beach and watch the day go by.
Many Israeli's after visiting goa land up in Andamans for a few day , just to chill after the hectic Full power goa dose.

Is it fesiable for one to camp on these beaches , coz we have all the gear tents, sleeping bags. Was wondering if people have been chilling out with all by themselves without renting out cottages or resorts , would love to do the same.If we do so will the locals have a issue or the resort owners might object to this.
Also smith island and long island is another best place where Israeli travellers have been seen in plenty.

We like to be one with nature and experience the bliss of the this beautiful island.

Will connect

Ok, first, there is no beach #9, it stops at 7 on Havelock.

It's a big beach, but I wouldn't go pitching a tent there. I slept out in my hammock for a few nights which was wonderful.

Yes, there are many Israeli's, there are also many French, English, German, etc........what difference does it make?

Long Island is the place for camping, as there is no guest houses.

Smith Island is open only to day-trips, although some travellers camp there ilegally overnight.

Could one of the mods re-name this thread?

Nice to share some info, MR.Conor beach 9 could have been just a transpostion of numbers. Will stand corrected now.

No offence with the name of this thread, didn't mean to hurt or pinpoint anyone.

Hi Salvia & welcome.

Israelis in India have a bit of a stereotyped reputation with some, hence Conor's worries I guess, threads like these can work as an open invitation to some to fire their mouths off.

That's all. Have a nice journey! What is "kharana" by the way? I assume a gathering or so?

Hi Salvia, you may want to look at this thread.

My number 1 bit of advice? Bring a hammock, and learn to sleep in it. Enjoy!
