is it worth it

hello
i am contemplating going to Andaman's for about 2 weeks in jan 09, do you reckon its worth the money and the time out of my original plans. i am in India for 4 months and had planned to go north for 4 weeks then on to goa for 2 and a half months then to kerala. would i be able to do golden triangle plus Varanasi in 2 weeks
give or take a few days here and there, and then go to either lakshadweep or Andaman before going to goa.
whatever has the clearest water for snorkeling and spearfishing
thanks for taking the time to read this

andaman trip

Hi Q,
If you want clear water and snorkelling then the Andamans are perfect. Goa,by comparison, is a tip and swimming in Goa is highly suspect. The water is really murky.Standing in Goan water as deep as the knees one cannot see ones feet. The usual diving and snorkelling spots in Andamans are Wandoor, near Port Blair and reachable in half hour on bus,or Havelock or Neil island both a short boat trip from Port Blair.I imagine there maybe other locations but i dont know them.
PS I understand that Lakshadweep is mega expensive,Andamans are not. All the best, Martinez
