How much time should you set of to visit the Andamans? Approximately?

Most people here has not been to the Andaman (including myself) But the people I know who went there stayed anything from two weeks to more than a Month. The boat trip from Chenai or Calcuta only like twice a month so You need to plan it well unless you have the cash to fly (quite expencive that is).
Its suposed to be paradice beachwise So I think its worth all the hassle.
