Hotels on Andamans

Can you recommend any good budget hotel on Havelock Island? Port Blair? Other intersting place?

I haven't been there. I'm going on Oct 2011 and have booked Megapode Resort in Port Blair and Symphony Palm Beach Resort in Havelock.

I have booked Megapode Nest in Port Blair, Wild Orchid in Havelock (quite expensive) from 6th to 14th Nov 2011.

megapode is good choice in port blair. if your budget allow you can go for barefoot in havlock.

Whats your budget? As there is quite a good range of places on Havelock to stay ranging form A frame huts for about Rs.150 to Duplex cottages for about Rs.5000. Also each place has a different feel to it and its a personal choice. If your there for a long time why not try a few places, you get to meet lots of people this way too. Around Christmas time it can be very bust on havelock, with people having to sleep op the beach as all accommodation is full.

In Portblair I like Sabra, Its Rs.650, clean and nice if your only there for ! night. Warm water too!

I have already booked my stay at Megapode nest and Wild Orchid. Asked Qutub to accompany me on a fishing trip near havelock and one more friend from Gamefishing India will take me for some big game fishing near Portblair. Only booking left is Neil Island. What would you suggest. Hawabill Nest or the Tango? My elderly parents, father in law and two infants will accompany me and my wife. For other water based activities i have already decided to visit barefoot scuba. Where would you suggest me to fish from the shore at Havelock and Neil? When would you reach Andaman?
