Hiring local boats

Hi folks,

I'm going to spend about 10 days on Havelock over xmas/NY and then will be traveling around for the remaining period.

Getting really excited as we've not long to go before we leave.

One thing I have been wondering about is how easy is it to hire a local boat for the purposes of fishing and how much should I be paying for that ?
If I get one guy and hire him for the whole time I'm there will they do me a good deal ?

I have my own kit so it's only the hire of the boat I need.

Thanks for that.

Looks like he tends to keep all the fish he catches which is fine as long as they don't got to waste but I'm into catch and release although I will take some fish for the table on occassion.

I definitely go and speak to him though. Where do I find him ?

As soon as you land at the jetty at havelock and exit the jetty you will see his shop called havelock tourism (not sure).
