Good Budget Hotel at Portblair ???

Can anybody shed some light on Light House Residency, read that it has rooms with Sea Views, but Lonely Planet Suggests it is covered with moss

???

Any ideas on Hotels in Portblair that have a Sea View ?? midrange say from 800 to 1200 bucks.

Andaman Teal House ,the government hotel is in that price range ,has a sea view and gets a nice breeze that deters mosquitos. See contact details on www.and.nic.in

lighthouse is overpriced but has a good restaurant and some rooms with balcony and views but is a noisy spot, over a main road. if you follow that same road past lighthouse, around the bend there are some hotels that have views also. i stayed my last night in a place on the corner there, that has rooms upstairs 500rps and the view was great. wish i had known about it earlier. sorry, don't remember the name, apart from the fact that it was the name of an american state or city.
azad is another place i stayed. it is near the bus station and opposite an internet cafe. comfy rooms, cheap and has a/c rooms on the top floor.
