Flying Air Deccan to Port Blair?

Hi
I am planning to make a trip to Andamans come December, but by now almost all tickets have been sold on Indian Airlines & Jet Airways, leaving only Air Deccan

I would like to know how the Air Deccan service to Port Blair is, does it frequently get cancelled or things like that?

Yes, it does get cancelled.

Unless your travel is not time critical and you can generally hang around a day here or there... dont book on Airdeccan.

If you are on a packed agenda I would strongly recommend aganist it.

Did the Chennai - Port Blair - Chennai sector on Air Deccan during Feb 07. Did not find any probelm at all except few mins. delay. I would suggest go for it.

Be early to board & get a window seat. The views are faboulous.

Air Deccan is facing lot of negative publicity recently, mostly related to flight cancellation and fare refunds and they are trying hard to shrug off this image.
I have flown them a couple of times and they have been like any other airlines. Hope you do not face any problem.
