Good trip report & pictures. This also brings back memories of our (with wife) 10 days spent in Andamans during Feb 2007.

Your pictures are gorgeous! Coupled with your dreamy recollection of your trip just make me that much more excited to travel to the Andamans at the end of the month! Those long shots of the elephant out at sea are particularly stunning. Feel free to keep the photos coming!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful memories along with some amazing pictures, theyyamdancer. Must admit, it's thread such as this one and people like you, who make IM so much worthwhile!

I'm planning a trip to the islands and loved every little post by you here. In fact, I just ended up buying the book "Land of Naked People" too

Thanks again!

Cheers!

Thank you very much, Jaf! It is a pleasure to share travel experiences here at IndiaMike. If I can help you plan your trip, ask away.

Next time we visit the Andamans, I would like to go to Neil Island as well.

Our visit to Havelock was part of my very first trip to India and my husband's second trip to India (since he had already visited in the early '80s). The really excellent time we had in the Andamans has helped shape my enthusiasm for India, and the people we met on that voyage have sparked my passion for the North East which continues today.

Enjoy your trip planning !

Hi TD

I returned home from our Havelock trip this afternoon and my plans were partly inspired by these pics. We stayed at Barefoot for 6 days and not much has changed since you clicked them!

Ill post some from mine soon.

Even though most places to stay were mostly full, it was not even remotely as busy as other places in India. Ferry tickets were not a problem as I had planned this one way before time.
