There are two companies: Diveindia and barefoot scuba. Haven't tried any of them so far...

Just back from Andamans.
There are three diving co's at Havelock.
http://www.andamandiveclub.com/home.html
http://www.barefootindia.com/contents/fe/home.aspx
http://www.diveindia.com/

We were new to diving & went for discover scuba.
We had not booked in advance & when we went to enquire both barefoot & divinida were full, so only option left was andamandiveclub (this is the least popular of the three). But we were pretty much satisfied with the equipments & trainer (Mr. Sikander). Check out the links & please book in advance.

i found out that andaman club staff are not divemasters also diveindia jst break all the rules to make more money off you , barefoot india are very proffesional like to keep groups small but some time found it hard to dive with them as they were always full but hve great staff

Can you elaborate on how they did that?

Exclamation

"diveindia jst break all the rules to make more money off you."

Before I react to this person, I'd like to disclose upfront that I work at Diveindia. I find it surprising that you 1) make this (unsubstantiated) post the very same day you joined the forum 2) Have absolutely NO other activity on this website.

This, in addition to the fact that we have NEVER had any divers from Thailand (which is where you state you are from) makes me question who you really are. Its not that hard to weed out people who are genuinely here to contribute Vs people who are here just to sabotage someone else.

I don't think Diveindia break all the rules to make money. Infact when I & my wife visited Diveindia during Feb. 07, we were told that next 4 - 5 days were booked and they can not accomodate us at any cost. That shows their professionalism. Then we dived with Andaman Dive Club.

Next time we visit andamans we would def. like to dive with Diveindia.

The last thing that we would do is to discourage reports of bad (or good) service from travellers.

However, the fact that this guy seems to have joined the site to make that one post and never returned since, seems somewhat suspicious.

I went diving with Barefoot Scuba in January of 2006 and found thier services to be very excellent. I was not certified before i went but the instructors were very friendly and after a couple hours of practice i had my certifications and finally got to dive on one of the most beautiful reefs i've ever seen. Boat rides were generally less than an hour and the clarity of the water made for some great sites. The tsunami did damage some of the coral reefs but most of them are in pristine condition.
