Car in Andaman?
Car in Andaman?
Hello All,
We are planning for a 5N trip to Andaman in April. The review in IM were for great help and have planned the below itinerary. Planning to utilize the tours conducted by Andaman tourism dept. Will we need a car for any of the below locations. Saw some posts with agents for car.
But wanted to know where we will need the car. Also Monday seems to be a holiday for many places. Can we cover Havelock on Monday?
This is our first trip to Andaman. Desperately need help.

It looks like a pretty packed holiday to be honest, lots of moving around and very little time to enjoy the places you visit. I would personally not have moved so much around in so few days, but we are all different tourists so if it work out for you then great.
Everything will be open on Monday in Havelock as far as I know.
It depends how many people you are and what ages they are in I think on if you need a car or not.
You will need a car in Port Blair if you want to move between attractions (those few you find there). A car will also be needed in Havelock if you want to see the beaches and so on. Also the driving outside of Port Blair you suggest will require a car.
It is generally not that difficult to find cars on the spot in Havelock. However, with the packed program you have it might be better to pre-book to avoid loosing any time looking around for cars here.
Hope you guys have a great holiday!
