you can get bdget bamboo shacks by the beaches for 150-250 RUPEES in high season. Food in the guest houses is expensive (think Goa) and not that great - but in Port Blair and on Havelock, there's a few dhabas for your thali and paratha.

If you end up spending two weeks doing nothing on Havelock (very easy to do) you can get by on 350-500 Rupees p/day no problem.

@ MR. Conor

Sure u felt the bliss of the Andamans, might have been a memorable one.
I understand that About Andaman Island's "as a foreigner one cannot visit Nicobar Island " but I heard they are just wonderful and I think i should go there and let the Universe guide me...

I have 15 days of time to spend at the islands ( excluding my travel )of which 10days at Havelock n 5 days at south in Wandoor by the National Park and there is a place called "The Sanctuary" any better place to stay which u could suggest,(cheaper stay )

Beach 2 on have havelock also have some nice place to stay , where were u staying ? and how much would it cost a day and the beach number 7heard its quite popular with travellers... you have nice snorkling and fishing trips there... jungle resort the best , coconut grove or Pristine Beach Resort for stay at beach 7.is what i plan to stay at.What would suite for a room of RS 200 - 300 a day.

Also snorkelling n Scuba will also be a part of the visit, any best places to dive or snorkelling around beach 7.
