Barefoot India - booking details
Hi there,
I'm looking into booking Barefoot India for January 2010, but there seems to be quite a difference between the prices quoted by the resort (Rs6,500 ~ 9,000) and by travel agents in Port Blair/elsewhere in India (Rs5,000). I've heard the resort doesn't pay a lot of commission to travel agents so I'm surprised there is such a large difference in the prices quoted. My question is: 1. Has anyone booked through a travel agent? Were they reliable and did they offer a discount to rates quoted by the resort? 2. Does anyone have experiences of the tours offered by Barefoot (eg. the camping trips, water sports etc)? Thanks in advance for your help! |

We stayed at Barefoot in February 2006 and the prices were a little cheaper then. We booked directly over the internet. We did not take any of the tours offered. We preferred just to lie on the beach, snorkel off Beach Number Seven, relax.
You might also like to look at the threads about snorkelling on Havelock which provide some advice on Beach Number Three. I shall look for the link. Yes, here: diving in the andamans but there are many similar threads here. Welcome to IndiaMike!
