Andamas or Lakshadweep in July/Aug ...

Hi all,

Second time to India and this time with my two daughters age 11-13.
We don't have much time and because of the school holidays we have to travel in July/Aug. My wife wants to stay 5 to 7 days on a beach site to relax in a coconut grove and snorkle after spending a couple of weeks in Northern India.

What would be the best choice during monsoon season and / or the nicest place to visit ? Lakshadweep, Andaman or even Maledives ?

Depends on your luck with the highly variable monsoons..

As far as I know Lakshadweep is out during that time of the year cos of the monsoons. The Maldives while still operational won't be as sunny and fun with the rains as the monsoon hits it at the same time. The weather in the Andamans is very unpredictable during the monsoons...you could have heavy rainfall or a very sunny day, varies week to week. The diving and snorkeling however is open all year round with some operators.
What can I say?...that time of the year is not the best for an island destination from what I know.
