Andamans this May with kids

I am taking my 2 kids to the Andamans in May and I will be the only adult (kids are aged 4 and 7). The idea is mainly to escape the extreme heat where we live and fill in part of the school holidays, but this is a place I have been wanting to visit for years. I'd like some advice on how to divide up our time (9 days in the islands).

I was planning on spending most of the time on Havelock since beaches are a great way to relax with kids. My ideal beach is somewhere a bit wild, in the middle of a forest (lots of crabs, some birds, and places to explore). While I expect that will be hard to find, can anyone suggest where we might go/stay? What about forest treks (not just on Havelock)? What should we not miss around Port Blair (or further)? Is it worth going to Jolly Buoy since we can't go snorkelling (the 7 year old can, but the 4 year old can't, and I can't be in two places)? The kids like culture, history and nature provided they have some freedom to explore. The would love to see a crocodile (safely).

In May with Kids.... A BIG NO from me as it'll be extreme hot.
