There are a lot of spectacular beaches around Havelock but most people and myself believe that Beach No. 7 is the best.

Waht places are good up there in the north? I've read in my guidebook that Diglipur and Rangat are quite ugly, is that right?

What do you think about Wandoor and the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park? Is it open?
Are there some good island to see? Is Cinque Island open? |

I thought Wandoor was over-rated, but I didn't visit the NP.
Up North, yes, the towns are nothing special, but right up at the top, if you can make it to Smith Island, you're in for a treat. It was only open to day-trippers when I was there, but you can hire local fishermen if you like, and camp. It's on a par with #7 on Havelock IMO. |

Hiya, I'll also be there - from Feb 18 to March 2 (flying to Port Blair from Chennai). Have been a bit slack forming a plan but keep the post updated - may see you beneath a palm tree.

Just back from Andamans
Liked Radhanagar beach no. 7 a lot. Also Elephant beach (Near Havelock) is good for snorkelling. As is a small beach called Mahua Dera near Wandoor (30 mins dunghi ride). Ronak.
