Andamans in January
Hello IM-ers!
I will be going on a trip to the Andaman Islands in January with my father and brother. Just a week. We fly to Port Blair. I am in charge of planning our stay and was wondering if people who have been there recently could give a ny tips on places to stay and things to see. From what I've read on IM Havelock seems like a good island for beaching... Are there any must-see's or must-do's?
And what is the malaria-situation there? I have never taken malaria medicine on trips in India but I have been told I will really need it in the Andamans. Can anybody confirm that?
It will be my first time to the Andamans and from what I've heard it's really beautiful. I had planned a Goa-trip around that time, but Goa will have to wait.

must see havelock
you must see havelock - and must stay at beach no.7 - this is simply the best beach in the world (best in asia acoring to Time Magazine, best in the world according to The Independent, UK).
At No.7 you can stay at the tents (Rs.300-Rs.500 per tent per night) or Barefoot Jungle Resort (Rs.4000-5300 per night).
Enjoy your stay
