Oh, this is good information. I just found out from our travel agent that going on Nov 27 and coming back Dec 3 is a total of 18000 Rs by plane. 18000!!!! AAgh! But I think it might be worth it. Going by ship will probably take too long, right? I think there's an error in this line:

That can't be right...

Those sites you found should offer some shipping company phone nrs. that you might try and give a call. On previous searches I've found no recent online schedules either; should be on the forums somewhere, but can't find it.
