tajmahal visiting hours

anyone knows what the visiting hours are for taj?
i want to do some early morning and late evening photography. can you just walk in the grounds to take pictures when it's not open or do you have to wait till it opens?

The Taj and grounds are open from 6am to 7pm. There is no entry to the grounds outside these times, and no decent view of the Taj from outside the grounds.

In the winter it is still dark when the grounds open and dark again before they close, so it's quite possible to get the shots you want. I don't know whether that's the case in the summer, though.

I am so bummed out that the moonlight visits will be closed when we're there in September, which coincides with Ramzan this year
