Oh, yes! In fact, it burned down. But my brother-in-law has a real nice place, just up the street, and it won't cost you half as much to see it. You don't mind if we just make a quick stop here, do you? I'll give you a good fare if you just look around for a little while... No, of course you don't need to buy anything! Looking only.

:P

hard to imagine closing down such a money earner.

my understanding of the cleaning process is that it involves the application of something like a mud pack which will clean the dirt out of the marble. i can't imagine that such a process would involve the closure of the taj, although it might limit your photo opportunities.

If true, now, we can all take a break from the "Why Are Foriegn Tourists Charged More At The Taj Mahal (++)" type threads.

Standard, answer, could be:

"Abhi to woh band hai. Do saal baad mein aakarke poochlo. Theek hai? Khuda hafeez."
(It's closed right now. Comeback after two years. OK?. Bye.)

Now let me go back to enjoying my beedi.>>>>>

Lost your chance to make it to the Taj, before the makeover, Nick.

Who would want to go all the way to Agra to look at a huge mud hut anyways?

.............If the mudpack makeover rumor is true.
And I do have several questions about this process. Maybe for later...
