Taj at dawn in December - foggy?

I'll be visiting Agra in December and was planning to arrive from Delhi about lunchtime, visiting the Taj in the afternoon and then staying over so we can see it in the early morning before going on to Fatehpur Sikri then Jaipur. However I've heard the Taj isn't too impressive in the mornings in winter because of fog / mist so I don't know if it's going to be worth the overnight stay - anyone been in December and how was it???

I was in Agra in December a few years back and visited the Taj early in the morning. There was indeed some fog coming in from the river but the combination of the fog with the early morning sun gave it all a magic touch. I guess it's different every day but I found it great to see the Taj like this. We stayed for a few hours and the fog went away giving us another view of the Taj. I'd say : go for it !

The Taj is ALWAYS impressive! Sun, fog, dusk, dawn (I've never seen it in the rain but I imagine even that would be impressive though very slippery ).
