please help me find a hotel in agra
i am sick and tired of goggling and searching thru the forum, i really need your help.
My budget is not more then 1500rs and i need a safe, very clean, decent hotel. I am visiting with my mom and sister. A view of the taj would be perfect or atleast in proximity so that i can get there early morning. -hotel kamal is completely booked -taj view is completeley booked -hotel sheela doesn't seem realiable from the reviews -shanti lodge doesn't sound like a decent clean place (correct me if i am wrong) -amar yatri niwas has mixed review and no taj view -how is tourist rest house??? -taj khema reviews are bad Please help me out. |

Rs 1500 with Taj view...tall order I presume..and btw how many weeks do you plan to spend in Agra ?

ok my bad!! i couldn't see taj views's price range because they said they are sold out.
I am staying for one night. |

so how far is amar yatri niwas from taj? can you see it at all from your room? can you get a rickshaw early morning and get there before the crowd. I am also looking for reviews on hotel sheela. anyone stayed there?? |

I have also stayed at Amar Yatri Niwas and it's perfectly fine.
Hotel Pushp Villas is another I've stayed at which is OK and a bit nearer the Taj I think- about 1km. hotelpushpvilla.com (it's impossible to find through google). Lauries Hotel I think is in your budget and seems to be popular. None of these have a Taj view but as Shashank has already hinted, you'd be lucky on that budget. |

I am trying 3 days to reserve Sheela hotel, but nobody answering by e-mail... Any thoughts or suggestions on a nice decent and clean hotel close to Taj Mahal within the range of 1000-2200 rupees per night for double room?

We ended up staying in hotel tara palace. It is on the east entrance of taj and is a nice 5-10 minute stroll to taj. The hotel was decent and charged us 1000 rs for a 3 bed AC room.
