Must see places in Agra

Hi

I am travelling to North India and planning to visit Agra also. However due to shortage of time, I would be able to spend only a day in Agra (from morning till late evening) as I would be heading to Delhi same night.

Could you please tell me must see places in Agra and any special instructions (Timings / Closed on any particular day)?

We will have a cab so commute would not be a big problem..

Taj closed Friday, hours on the net by Google (I have a position in the stock that is seriously uncovered). Fatehpur Sikri for certain, nuhkees. I liked the baby Taj. Go across the river to see if you can see the purported reflecting pool that was supposed to be there..

Hello friends, please advise which all places to cover during our day trip in Agra? We would be coming from Delhi for a day trip in our own vehicle and can spend only 9 hours (10 AM - 7 PM) in Agra :-(

Shortage of time does not permit us to stay there in Agra in this trip so your valuable inputs would help us plan our trip better...

Thanks everyone for the inputs.. Based on the feedback received we are now planning to stay in Agra for 1 night and cover most of the places there...

We would be coming from Delhi and reaching Agra around noon and planning to roam around in Agra for rest of the day and stay overnight in one of the hotels near Taj... Next day is also available and we can spend as much time till evening to explore Agra...

Please suggest which places we should visit on the 1st day (12:30 PM - 7.30 PM) and which all places should be visited on 2nd day (9.30 AM - 6.00 PM)?

We would be coimg from Delhi in our own car so we can organise our trip accordingly (I mean we will prefer covering the places in the order they come during onward and return journey)...

Also please do mention all the places worth exploring in Agra...

It's always interesting to read different threads in this forum, have a look at google map for an idea of the road connection and which monuments come where - rather than asking for advice from others without doing any homework. i have always found the first approach to be the better one - it's such a fun. Then one can seek help for unanswered queries.
