Hotel in Agra
I am thinking of staying at a nice hotel in Agra since I am pretty much doing budget hotels the whole way through my trip. I looked at the Howard Park Plaza -
Does anyone else have good recommendation in that same price range? and Is it a view worth the extra $? |

Jaypee Palace is nice, but $$$ Also not very near to Taj Mahal, but if you want to feel ritzy for a night I would recommend that. Oberoi Amarvilas is supposed to be really fancy too, but way out of my league budget wise. Maybe when I find my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow

Someone else told me the Amarvilas are amazing until I saw the price. Wow the Oberoi hotels are just out of this world as far as what I can see on the internet. I would love to splurge just one day - I will see if I can find my pot of gold too

hi
I'm thinking of taking the shatabdi from delhi to agra and just spending the day in agra and back again the same day. I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a hotel(?) to spend the hot-humid hours during the day. I am planning on visiting the taj mahal and fort since I am going to be terribly jet-lagged! I have also thought about just driving into agra and back and possibly resting(?) in the car. Any suggestions? TIA |
