going to be in agra on a friday

So, it turns out that I just learned the Taj is closed on Friday and that is the one day we are going to be in Agra. We are staying overnight in Agra on November 12 (arriving there around 20:30) and wanted to see the Taj at sunrise the next day. I do understand that the Red Fort and Fatehpur Sikri are open every day. My question is this:
Is it worth it to go to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri on a Friday knowing we can't get into the Taj?
Also, is it worth it just to see the Taj from the outside (from the red fort and from the other side of the river?)

It is feasible we could rearrange some of the trip we already have planned, but it would take some time and cost. Please advise. Thanks!

If this a first time and you can rearrange then do. Taj Mahal in my opinion is worth it.

However, if you cannot view it from the Yamuna river side at sun rise it should be beautiful.

I agree Delhiwala, it would be a shame to not at least see it.

JanineG, is there no way you can re-arrange something in the itinerary?
