Going from Agra Fort to Agra Cantonment Station

Hey guys,

I reach Agra Fort at 6:10 am, and need to go pick up my friend at Agra Cantonment, who will be reaching a bit later. Two questions:

(1) How far is it between the stations, and how much would an auto or cycle wallah cost?

(2) Are there places near the Agra Cant't station that early in the morning to just sit and read or something of the sort?

I think the distance is around 5 KMs. You may hire a rickshaw for commute between these two stations. Auto should not take more than Rs. 50 in any case.

I think You'll have to pass time in waiting room only. Newspapers/magazines will be available at the platform.

6:10, you'll be lucky, that train has a poor record for punctuality, ofter 2 hours late.

If your friend is arriving from Delhi on the Shatabdi (08:10ish and normally on time) you best have an alternative plan to meet. (and don't plan to meet at the Taj, there's a few different entrances.

Morning Agra Fort - Agra Cantt should take 10 minutes by Auto Rickshaw / tuk tuk. Cost be anywhere between 50 - 75 rs.

No Place as such to wait at stations.

Do you guys carry mobiles ? If yes, then I'd suggest meeting near Taj Mahal.

1.Agra Fort is 5.2 km away from Agra Cantt. Auto rickshaws will charge approx Rs 50.
2. There are waiting room and retiring room in Agra cantt railway station premises. You can either sit in some restaurants or tea stalls, nearby to Agra cantt.

Agra Cant has very good restaurants/refreshments and satisfactory retiring room.
