Smile Do we need to pay to see taj during sunset by the river Yamuna?

Hi there. Not sure whether this is a stupid question? Do we need to pay anyting to anyone to see the sunset by the river Yamuna? And normally how much does it cost to get any transport from Agra Fort to the other side of the taj for sunset? How should we address the location of "the other side of the temple" to the transporter? I am afraid, they dont get what I mean by saying "the other side of the temple". :P

Please help. Thanks

You don't have to pay to see the sunset on the other bank of the Yamuna.

Please don't think of the Taj as a "temple". Its not a temple.
Its a mausoleum containing the graves of a king and his queen.

Take a taxi over the old iron bridge. It's the only crossing for miles. It gets very busy at sunset, so leave plenty of time.

THeres a place right next to Taj by Yamuna on the right side.
its free to be there. Lots of junk thrown in the river including but not limited to corpses.

Its better not to pay for Taj if they get paid 750 per Aryan and cannot even keep the Yamuna clean.

Agra is a tourist trap

A quicker way...

From the east gate follow the road down next to the taj towards the river. There is usually a few guys operating a "boat" for only 50 rupees each return
