Delhi Agra Shimla Goa
Hello
I'm planning a trip to Delhi arriving 17th July for 10 days. I would like to visit Shimla, Agra and Goa. I know it may be a lot to cram in such a sort time but I'm up for the challenge. Anyway, I can always come back later this year! Can anyone make recommendations based on experiences, what would be: 1) 'Must see' locations and stop overs 2) Best routes - i.e, plane, train, automobile 3) duration of each leg of the route 4) Links/url's that will assist in booking the above My idea so far: Delhi - Agra - Delhi - Shimal - Delhi - Mumbai - Goa - Mumbai Delhi - Shopping, site seeing (2nights). Shimla (By Plane/train) - Site seeing - 1 or 2nights Agra - (By Plan/train) - Site Seeing - 1 or 2 nights Goa (By Plan via Mumbai) - Site Seeing, chill out - relaxation 3 nights Fly to Delhi - shopping (1 or 2nights) I am trying to maximise the journey so I can see more the locations, I am not too price conscience but will try and get value for money. I have traveled before to Punjab and Mumbai in July/August and loved it! Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. |

Search for trains on www.erail.in
Look for Delhi-Agra Agra-Delhi or Tundla (22kms from Agra)-Kalka or Delhi-Kalka Kalka Simla Simla-Kalka Kalka-Delhi Book trains at http://www.irctc.co.in/ or http://www.cleartrip.com/trains The following thread is a good read with lots of useful info about booking trains. How to book train tickets online - consolidated advice Then search for Delhi-Goa flights on www.ixigo.com Ixigo takes you direct to the airlines own booking page, so no booking fees. You don't need to go through Mumbai. |

Delhi Agra Shimla Goa
Steven
You're a star - Thanks a million for your efforts! Think I may have to give Goa a miss as the weather may not be too favourable. Is there any must see locations & things to do I haven't thought of? Regards |

There are more intelligent ways to challenge yourself. Challenges will come as soon as you set foot on India
I'd say; do the north, take trains! Plenty to see. Not the proper time for Goa! respect the environment and stay on the ground! Have a good trip!
