Cost of prepaid taxi from Agra Cant and Availability.

I'm going to be arriving at Agra Cant. station in early July late in the evening (around 10:30pm). Does anyone know if the prepaid taxi service is available so late in the day from the station?
Also, does anyone know how much the prepaid taxi would cost from the train station to Taj Mahal (or a hotel in vicinity)? just a ballpark number would suffice.

Taxi / Auto ( tuk tuk ) available all the time. It's only after midnight that they get a bit expensive.

A taxi would not cost more than 200 to a hotel nearby ( most of the hotels are around 4 - 5 kms within the station ).

A tuk tuk wll not cost more than 100 INR.

Anything more they ask is bargainable. You should be good at that.

Take a tuk tuk, its cheaper and better.

Do you know if rides are available from the Trident hotel?
I'm arriving at the Trident late in the evening, my plan is to take the pre paid taxi from the station to the hotel.
Next morning, I want to go to the station to hire one of the Shatabdi to Shatabdi tour pre paid taxis (are they prepaid?)
I leave for Delhi on the Shatabdi from Agra.

Your questio is not so clear.

You arrive in the night at trident and then next morning you want to go back to the station and do what ??

I am guessing that you want a day taxi for the entire day so they can take you around.

The trident is next door to Taj Mahal - its a 15 minute walk to the Taj from your hotel.

My suggestion - wakey up in the morning and go to see Taj at sunrise, come back and have a great b'fast at Trident - should be included in yr tarriff

Then go by a tuk tuk ( after checking out ) to see the Fort and maybe another place or two.

Evening catch the shatabdi train back to delhi.

Let me know if you need to know anything at all.

You guessed it correct. I'm going to go back to the station next morning to hire the taxi. I've read in this forum about Shatabdi to Shatabdi tours from the station and that's what I'm planning to hire for the day until I catch the Shatabdi back.

How early is early in the morning to see the Taj? I'm guessing sunrise would be around 6 am in July? What time would you suggest?

Ok - Yeah you can go and do the tour but you would have already seen the Taj by the time you go to the station in the morning.

Taj Early morning would be 6 Am. Sunrise is around 5:30, but you can make it to the Taj around 6. That means you should be at the gates by 6 else its going to be a really long queue. Summers, every one goes in the morning and it's impossible to walk barefoot in the daytime.

What other places you want to see that day after Taj and before your evening train ?

And please remember The TAJ is closed on Friday's so plan accordingly.

Also July would be having Rains so weathers going to be a bit better for sightseeing !
