Cost of driver delhi-agra (incl. fahtepur sikri)?

Hi there,
I am looking to find a driver to take me from delhi to agra (poss with the same driver being a guide for the taj etc or should i get someone else for this?) and also take me to FS and then return to Delhi....just wondering approx how much this should cost and how long I need...will an early start be required? thanks

I paid 3000 Rs for 2 days in march 2009.

I suppose you could do it in a day but allow at least an overnight. From Delhi go to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. Do the Agra Fort, overnight, sunrise Taj, Sikandra, Itmad-ud-daulah and back to Delhi.

As far as I know drivers cannot be your guide in the Taj, you'll need an official one, although I never did and I don't feel that I missed anything.

Costs depend on your budget and preferred levels of comfort but I would have thought that you'd get away with Rs5000 including your hotel room in Agra, if you arrange this transport from the UK. It'll possibly be much cheaper to arrange it in India.

Thanks ! But they are an agency, they must have outsourced it..any contact details of the driver/actual agency ?

I am not sure but I think it was a Gurgaon agency :India Vacations. I don't know where I put the agency card. Nivalink works with many "car rentals" everywhere in India so I think the prices are good.
For example, they rent me an Indica for 3 days in november 2009 from Ahmedabad, they ask me 1562 Rs per day all taxes include.
