Car from Agra to Delhi

Hello all,

I'm curious if its possible to hire a car from Agra to take me to the Delhi airport, so I don't have to worry about missing my flight due to delayed trains. Has anyone done this? If so, how do I set it up?

We took a car from Delhi to Agra which was arranged by the embassy thru the hotel. You should have no problem finding someone to take you. Email the hotel before hand and they could possibly arrange it for. We were staying in the Intercontinential (Delhi), but we hired people in a small hotel (Horwah) in Kolkata - so if you have the funds, there is always someone willing to make some money. You can check with the tour agencies also, they might be cheaper than a taxi or driver for the day.
BTW - there are some very nice trains going back and forth from Delhi and Agra. You're probably safe with taking a train earlier than you need.

Its very routine..u wont have any problems finding a vehicle..as i mentioned in another post as well...a Bus is also an option...takes about 5 hours.

Lots of Agra cab drivers will do this but keep in mind that you will have to pay for the return trip as well unless you find a Delhi cabbie who has taken an one way fare to Agra from Delhi. Well this cabbie would be the happiest becuase he has already pocketed the return fare from the Delhi-Agra passenger !!!

jyoti, this statement is misleading in regard to my quotation of a price (2000 Rs airport drop from Agra, in the linked thread). The return is always included in any price quote, since that is obvious for every car hire.
