Best Delhi to Agra train in the afternoon/early evening
Does anyone have a few recommendations for Delhi-Agra trains that depart in the afternoon/early evening?
From what I can see on IRCTC there's lots to choose from, but are some quicker, more comfortable and more on-time than others?
I wanted to spend a Monday sightseeing in Delhi before going to Agra by train, overnight, then view the Taj at sunrise.
Thanks!

You can take Kerala express, it leaves by noon and normally always on time. As delhi is departure station you should not face much problem.
Also in any train you take make sure the second numeral is "2" in its number as it denotes a superfast train in India. e.g. X2XXX

For a few different reasons, your choice should be limited to....
1, Kerala Express (NDLS 11:30, AGC 14:25)
2, NDLS-Jabalpur superfast Express (NDLS 14:05, AGC 17:10)
3, Goa Express (Nizamuddin 15:05, AGC 17:45)
The Kerala Express doesn't allow much time to see Delhi, and the Goa Express means you need to get to Nizamuddin station, that's OK if you'll be looking at places in south Delhi, but New Delhi station is much more convenient for central Delhi, so the Jabalpur superfast Express is most likely your best choice.

Thanks! I considered Jabalpur but that didn't give me enough time in Delhi unfortunately. I went ahead and booked the GT Express leaving at 18:40 from New Delhi station in First AC. Hopefully this train is reliable and I made a good decision!
