Agra in 9 Hours ?

Hi,

We are planning to take the 2808 train starting at 08.40 from delhi and arriving at 11.30 in Agra Cant(Aug 1st, Saturday).(We cannot take the earlier trains, as we arrive in Delhi very late around midnight or 1 am and so prefer to have few hours sleep).

Now we would go back to Delhi by the evening shatabdi at 20.30. In these 9 hours is it only possible to see agra completely then take the shatabdi at 20.30 to Delhi??

Taj Mahal
Baby Taj
Agra Fort
Sikandra
ITMAD-UD-DAULAH
Fatehpur Sikri

Please advise me if I should drop any of the above listed places due to my limited time.

Also please advise me on how to start my trip after reaching Agra Cant Railway station, such that I can make best use of my time and cover as many places possible

I think you should drop Fatehpur Sikri for a start. It's about an hour drive each way and takes a few hours to see.

At Agra Cantt. Station you have a prepaid taxi booth. These taxis run Shatabdi to Shatabdi tour for people like you who come by morning Shatabdi and want to leave by Evening Shatabdi.

Hi Delhiwala,

Thank You for your advice.I knew about that,but in my case I am not coming by Shatabdi, I'll reach Agra at 11.30, so do you still think that those prepaid cabs can cover everything by 8.30 p.m ?

Fatephur Sikri is huge. It takes a while to get there, and it's a hot drive.
It would, in my opinion, be a waste of time, unless you want to run to the front gate, and take a happy snap, and jump back into the car.
