Agra day tour recommendations?

Hello,

My husband and I are traveling to India in January. We will be in Delhi for a couple of days and would like to do a day trip to Agra.

I've seen several tour groups advertising Agra day tours for $85 USD / pp. They all seem relatively the same in that they will pick you up from your hotel in Delhi and take you to the train station. It includes tickets in AC chair class on Shatabdi Express. Then a tour guide receives you at the Agra station and takes you to Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri. The day also includes lunch at a 5 star restaurant, the return trip by train and then transportation back to the hotel.

Does anyone have any experience with these tours? Any recommendations on a particular group would be appreciated.

we amde our own arrangements for a tour with a taxi and driver, the guides are everywhere in Agra, one thing I rmember from this site is that buying a ticket at the Taj enables you to be able to enter the other sites...Manuhans Toumb and Fetapur free...someone on this site will either confirm this or update if its stil the case. On our trip the gudes organised it the other way around and we went to the tomb first so we ended up paying seperatley for each site...just one of the scams thst around...I would check with a hotel for a taxi and driver cost though as I think it pretty late when you return on the train.
