Meghalaya Helicopter Service operate between Guwahati and Shilong.

Kingfisher fly Hyderabad to Guwahati (3 hours 55 minutes, Rs. 6615), or Deccan offer a connection in Kolkata (total time taken 8.2 hours, Rs. 5050)

Charter an airplane or start an airline.

Sorry, no direct flights, and no suitable connections.

Either fly to Udaipur from Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Mumbai or Aurabgabad, or get a taxi from Agra to Bharatpur (60kms) then get an overnight train from Bharatpur (21:30) to Udaipur (07:00).

Thank you for the article Kanbe

I have one query though...

Do any of the domestic flights allow transport of pets?

So far, I've researched and ruled out Air Deccan, Kingfsher, JetLite, IndiGo.

Have any of you travelled with your pet on any of the domestic airlines?

Please share the details...

Ah!

To answer my own question (in case it helps someone else), I just found out that Jet Airways transports pets.
They take them in special boxes, in the cargo section.

You'll be charged depending on the weight of the pet.

I've had no luck when I've tried to find out how much it would cost from delhi to goa or delhi to cochin. And do they charge taxes on domestic flights?.

The obvious answer (you probably thought of it already) is that the flight doesn't happen every day, and you picked a day they don't fly.

If that's not it, all I can say is that somehow they know your diary better than you do!

Hello all can an NRI from UK book directly with the airline without any problems of nationality? I am looking to book with Jet Lite/Spicejet from Mumbai to Goa 31/12/08 - 06/01/09 Thanks.

I noticed that there is a limited direct flight from Jodhpur to Goa. Has anyone had luck booking this? Online seems to fail.

Also, I would like to fly from Hampi (Bellary) to Hyderabad. I'm wondering if helicopter flight would be advisable. Air Deccan claims reliability.
