Bangalore to Hampi

I fly into Bangalore from Bubaneshwar arriving about midnight and I want to get to Hampi. What are my options?
Are there any early morning trains or buses heading that way, or will I do better to take a hotel and the evening service next day? If so, can anyone suggest a budget place to stay close to bus and/or train station.
Thanks for any tips.

There is a direct train from Bhubaneswar to Hospet which runs on Tue, Wed, Fri and Sun. Train No.2847 leaves Bhubaneswar(BBS) @06.15 a.m. and reaches Hospet Jn(HPT) @06.28 a.m. on the next day. From Hospet, you can take a bus or taxi to Hampi.

The best option would be that you check into a lodge in front of the railway station after reaching Bangalore ( There are not very expensive lodges like Hotel Amar which you can see from the city railway station) and the next day catch a train (Hampi link express . Train no 6592 ) from the bangalore city railway station. The train leaves at 10.30 Pm every night and reaches hospet(nearest station to hampi, just abt few kms) at 7.45 AM next day, so you will have the option of havin a whole day of taking a look at bangalore city. Just make sure you book this train in advance.
