iyou says: I can't believe somone has this picture. I bought four of these bags in Cochin in 2002 and mailed them home. They made great gifts for certain friends. I didn't dare bring them home on the plane in case I was searched at US Customs. There were also WTC shirts for sale in Madurai, which I bought.

India Edge says: Wow, a powerful image somehow... not sure what it says about us (as humans) or how to feel about it... jeez...

iyou says: To me it simply says that we're fascinated by epic, history-making events. Look at all the interest in the Titanic. In at least one sense it was the same kind of tragedy.

India Edge says: True enough iyou, but I find this pic quite provocative. Almost like fine art.
The WTC bombing reduced to an image on of all things, a shopping bag... the CocaCola products...

iyou says: Indeed it's very provocative. As a digression, look at how stylized the buildings are. You don't have to make them look anything like the real WTC, they could be just about any building. But fly a plane into one of them and you instantly know what you're looking at. Shows how powerful the original image was....(and how this could be an endless subject of discussion).
