Taking the Cow Accross the River

Damn! I did not know cows can swim! Rather had not thought about it anytime. Had seen them only lazing out in shallow ponds..... is it really swimming? or simply walking over a shallow river bed. I doubt.

I don't know! Took this pic some years back and, wishing to test the photo-upload, used it as it is a favourite of mine. I do suspect that it is swimming. Whatever it is doing, it must be used to it, or it would have that boat over and the people in the water before anyone could say, "What's Malayalam for Bull?" If it is walking, then it is inches from death --- I don't think they'd know the depth [i]that[/i] accurately, or that the cow wouldn't be panicking by now.

Wow.. great photo!!! That looks like the cows journey to the vet for a routine checkup. I think all 4 legged animals can swim. Even elephants can swim. Malayalam for bull is moori and for ox its kaalla.

I assume that any animals (except humans by learning) could swim. Am I wrong?. Seen elephants swimming in Periyar river.
