Mysore view - what building?

I decided to stopover at mysore on the way from hyderabad to calicut, after a 13 hour drive. I had started at 5 am and it was nearing 6pm by the time i touched mysore. got into a small hotel and was about to crash when i pulled the window curtains and saw this building. Quite an interesting building, but appeared as though it has been abandoned or something. Can some mysoreans or mysore experts help?
