Nice, cheap and clean hotel in north Delhi, run by very friendly people. Located in the tibetan colony in Majnu Ka Tilla near Yamuna river, one of the more quite and relaxing places in Delhi. The resturant is very recommendable, too - great tibetan (and indian) food. Majnu Ka Tilla is a little away from delhi's centre, but quite easy to access via metro (station Vidhan Sabha, line 2, from there by cycle rickshaw). We stayed here twice in 2010; the first time was for just a couple of nights (post long-haul flight) and the second time for a week. Staying for longer meant we got a reduced room rate (INR 600). 10 ********** rating for sure. I stayed here for the first time in 1994 - before the metro. It used to be a 60 minute ride by motor rickshaw to Jan Path in those days. Now, it is closer to 75 minutes by rickshaw, but with the metro stop so close, you can zip into Connuaght place in just 15 minutes for next to nothing in cost ... read more »
