I stayed at Tiwari Lodge around new year in 2012. Although December is high season for Varanasi, we got a very spacious double bedroom on the ground floor without any pre-bookings. I didnt know it was a shared bathroom and I had the Delhi belly(UGH)
but I guess thats not their fault.....be sure to make sure you book a room with a bathroom if thats important to you.food is ok,but pricey and they charge to much for booking taxis and trains.The only way to get there ... read more »

No elevator, but the hotel set me up with a ground floor room. Nice view of the Taj from the rooftop cafe. They had a ground floor restaurant with a broad menu and good food.
