The Trident Hilton Hotel either began as an Oberoi property or is managed by the Oberoi group. It is luxurious and would be in the top tier of hotels wherever it was located. The building is magnificent: its public areas resemble a temple. Rooms are large and comfortable. The restaurant is first-class, offering both buffet and a la carte selections at all meals. The bar is also classy, with a billiards table. The travel desk (run by Avis car rentals) is helpful and efficient. Of all the Hiltons I've stayed in, on five continents, this is my favorite. Stayed 3 nights here in June 2009. It was excellent. It's a business hotel, so it's very quiet, beautifully maintained and super clean. It's in the 5 star range, and definitely deserves it.
