We stayed here on our way to North Sikkim and again on our return. It is a super address, not expensive (we haggled because they had construction work going on, hotel improvements) in Spring 2006. Believe me, I looked at 6 different hotels before coming to this one, including the adjacent Chumbi Residency. We travelled Gangtok in November 2007 and stayed in the suite room. Bargained for the suite for Rs. 1540. Not a bad deal. The days were cloudy so couldn't really see Kanchendzonga from the room, but it is visible early ... read more »

Looked at 7 other hotels in Gangtok before choosing this one. It was the nicest of those willing to give us a double room for 700 rupees. A bit hard to find--you go up, up, up Tibet road from the main market. Their vegetable momo is delicious; the curries are good too.:) ... read more »
