Hotel at a best place but not for aged people
This hotel is located on the chausatti ghat and famous dossasomedh ghat can be reach in 5 mins by Ganga ghat. But you have to walk 10 mins by narrow lanes from the main road to reach the hotel. No vehicles can enter the lane and road condition is very bad. Initially I planned to stay there for 4 days in this hotel. But I traveled ... read more »
Great place to stay
Stayed here 4 days in Nov.09. Sita Guest House is an ideal place to stay, very warm and friendly owner, who is helpful in any things you have to manage, also the staff is very friendly.Direct located on Ganges with superb panoramic view from your room's balcony (if u get a frontside room, as well from the recommendable rooftop ... read more »
Great view if a little pricey
on Apr 03, 2009.
We stayed here in August 2008. They were in the middle of some reconstruction, but that didn't affect our stay much. We stayed in room #302 because it had the best view with a balcony directly facing the Ganges. But this room was a little expensive, around 3000Rs I think we paid. For this price they should provide uninterrupted ... read more »

I spent three weeks here with my family and all of us enjoyed our time in the Sita. Mainly because of the ganges view from the rooftop restaurant and the incredibly friendly staff. The rooms were clean and parties were put on for Christmas and New Years where my children were made feel really at home and allowed to enjoy themselves. ... read more »
will be pretty good
I stayed at Sita guest house for 5 days in August 2008. The owner was pretty good and corrected any concerns I had. We arranged a pick up service but I had to phone them from Varanasi train station to remind them.
I had a single room overlooking the Ganges from the side of the hotel for RS400 per night, which was maybe a ... read more »
Sita Guest House
on Oct 18, 2008.
We found the room too pricy, not very good value - it was nice with a view down to the Ganges but our balcony was sooo tiny, only one person could be on it at a time.
The massage guy was a real pain, and the owner initially seemed nice - but then started complaining about us not eating at the roof top restaurant often enough... ... read more »
A fair bit of work going on here as it seeks to expand. We visited a few weeks ago and taxi stopped at edge of the labyrinth of lanes due to no front access during monsoons. They sorted our boat(pricey) and pick-ups and were generally friendly staff. Had some probs with ants, hot water, TV and needing toask for other things ... read more »
I actually didn't stay here
I actually didn't stay here, but I probably will next time I go to Varanasi. It's a good quality place, and the staff is (mostly nice)... I used their help on a couple of occasions. It's also not far from the main ghat (Dashwamedeh?) which is more accessible by auto+cyclerickshaw than other parts of the old city. ... read more »
I have stayed at Sita Guest House...
I have stayed at Sita Guest House twice. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good look at the ghats. This is one of the most remarkable places on earth.
There are rooms for every budget. The location is great. Probably the best of all the guest houses on the river front. You'll have to put up with the noise of pilgrims ... read more »
