Extreme Planning yet Extreme Disappointment

Two of my friends were visiting BBSR with their kids & we decided upon Rangers as a nice Adventure spot for all to enjoy. I had initial discussions with Sanjay & booked 2 cottages & 1 swiss-tent for 1 day/night, along with ATV rides and parasailing (subject to weather).
It is unfortunate that we ended up not staying in the place as planned...
Here are the reasons for the same:
a. I called up Mr. Ratan as suggested on 05-Oct morning and he
mentioned that he does not have our booking for that day, instead it
was for the next day. Nevertheless he agreed to get one room & 2 tents
available.
b. When we reached the place around noon, Mr. Ratan mentioned that he
has arranged both the rooms, but had not yet setup the tent. He was in
the process of clearing up the space for the tent.
c. Though we were not expecting a luxury bath facility, we expected it
to be at least cleaned after the last guest had left. It was not so.
d. Although there was a clear notice indicating Alcohol being
prohibited, Mr. Ratan was extremely drunk. His speech was slurred, his
breath was stinking and at one point he just fell into the trash
basket. It was a very scary scene for women & kids to say the least.
e. I'm sure Mr. Ratan touching the kids would have looked OK under
normal circumstances, but coupled with his drunkenness, it caused a
great deal of unease for all of us.
f. There was no clarity on whether ATV riding would be possible or
not. We got conflicting views on whether it can be done that evening
or next morning at all. Since parasailing was also ruled out, there
was nothing much for adults or kids to enjoy on the beach. In such a
scenario, even staying there till the evening for activities was ruled
out.
Finally, we did end up having lunch there (while we arranged accommodation in another hotel nearby). It was a very hard decision to walk out of the
place, after so much planning had gone into the whole vacation.
My friend talked to Mr. Bandhu to negotiate a reasonable discount on
the room rent since we intended not to stay there, which was finally
agreed to.
Finally, Sanjay apologized for the experience in his absence, but what we lost cannot be regained. So my suggestion would be go there if & only if Sanjay is around to turn the tide in your favor.
